Internship Guidelines CHLH 485 General Description of Course: The Department of Community wellness has established this internship program to forget Community health big league with practical, real life experience in a superior health agency/organization. To broaden his/her understanding of the organization, function and interrelationships of health related organizations in the community, both public and private. 3. To gain an understanding of the organizations, administration, and program activities of a specific health agency. 4. To identify the health planning/administration or health education activities of the agency and the relationship of those activities to the operation of the agency. 5.

To develop an in-depth understanding of the program(s) to which he/she is assigned. 6. To enhance existing skills and spring up new skills used by a health planning/administration professional or health educator. Time accessible for Internship: The student will have a minimum of eight weeks or 320 hours for this assignment. Dates must be within the UIUC academic border for the semester of placement.
