Wedding-Ring by Denise LevertovThis poem explores the consanguinity and sentimental attachments between a women and her wedding ring . I incur a plastered sentiment of loneliness as woman herself is as lonely as wedding ring laying at the croup of the basket . This soupcon is further aggravated by the vision of abandoned houses . This transformation of a material thing is a manifestation of change in the psychological beingness of woman .

Her ruined relationship is not only tragic but it creates pity and concern . This pity and fear is due to the fact that failure in relationships bring an individual to such a low psychological states that he /she equates himself /herself with things of no value .
