What am I trying to accomplish with this piece?

finally I wish to show the incredibly varied entrance of where theatre is, and show that this polarized sense of theatre is ultimately star(p) to its death. That the polarization of what theatre is, is tearing it a part at the seams and causing a rift, a void that has emptied the true middle of what theatre is, at least to me.

The idea that theatre is notwithstanding a commodity for entertainment has engrossed the nation. That its merely a spectacle and no longer offering an accurate portrait of society, that it is no longer attempting to be a conscience, having society reassess its set and morals, that it is no longer at the forefront of progressive thought. That it has per stage dynamic.

And how this varies from the artists view of theatre as an expressive art form that actively tries to explicate people to listen and consider, except for the situation that instead of challenging contemporary thought, we put forth a show that will ultimately be preaching to the sing and n constantly causing any thought. We are to a greater extent and more interested in box office numbers and little with actually having content. If the show is interesting, the people will come. That should not be the concern, the concern should lie in the causation and provocation of thought.

Perhaps I am far too much like Brecht, in wanting an audience to have a reaction, to want to get out and change how they perceive the world, and how the world perceives itself.
