Turn on the television and flip through a few channels and what do you see? Teen maternity reality shows seem to make teen pregnancy virtually glamorous. Teen idols, such as Disneys Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera capture the patrol wagon of our children at young ages. As they age and approach matureness they seem to almost suddenly turn wild. Late nights at the clubs, and partys lead to tabloids and news shows filled with travel to of the once innocent teenage idol and everything they argon doing, best and bad. The problem with this is that although individuals such as Britney and Christina grow up and very become adults. The age range of their followers only expands. closely of the epoch what happens is as the star ages the network continues playing re-runs, so they continue to grow their fan base. At the same time that our young teenagers are smacking up to the characters they see on tv such as Hannah Montana and Lizzy Mcguire, the actual actors are sometimes well into their 20s and very overmuch adults. However, the media cant get enough of their bad young lady attitudes and behaviors, and our teenagers are in the meantime soaking it all in like sponges.

There are however, certain things that the media has helped with such as helping to educate our teenagers about the dangers of unprotected sex, alcohol, and drugs.



Just as thither are reality shows depicting the drinking, drugs and sexual promiscuity, there are also shows that display the consequences such as, Intervention, Celebrity Rehab, and shake up Straight. These shows not only show consequences but can potentially turn kids around before their actions get the best of them. It seems as if kids these days are engaging in sexual activities introductory and earlier in life. Most people try to overlook it, but if more people would take a look into our middle schools and early high school students that we see ripe how progressive this problem is. It is unreal the number of students that already comport children.
