The story starts with attain at the churchyard looking at his familys tombstones. He is trying to theorise what his mom and dad looked like by the characteristics of the tombstones they had. This is also where inject meets the convict, who tries to intimidate tally so he will gift him what he wants. Pip goes home and finds Joe who tells him that his sister Mrs. Joe has looked for him many quantify and is out looking for him right now. When Pip got home he told Mrs. Joe that he was out listening to carols. Pip and Joe go to church while Mrs. Joe prepared for the dinner party she was having. At the dining compartment party was Uncle Pumblechook, Mr. Wopsle, Mr. Hubble, and Mrs. Hubble. At dinner Mrs. Joe goes to get the pie but then Soldiers are at their door.
