D.A.R.E. is a program that was originated in Los Angeles, California in 1983. It was created to read adolescents active the wounding effects of drugs, alcohol, and peer pressure. D.A.R.E. stands for Drug call Resistance Education. My D.A.R.E. officer, Officer Williams, taught me umteen helpful, life changing facts and stories about how drugs and alcohol can negatively change my life.
As a student who is going to middle school next year, I am aware that I will face many challenges. My peers may challenge me to do drugs, smoke cigarettes or marijuana, swallow alcohol, or other scurvy choices, but because of D.A.R.E. I am confident that I will make the right choices. I feel that D.A.R.E. has prepared me for the challenges that I will face during my middle school years, high school years, or even as an adult. D.A.R.E. is a wonderful program that all students should be a part of. I feel that D.A.R.E. has prepared me for success!
