The followers is my discourse of notation on the following Spiritual Direction:
Roman Catholics
Wesleyan
Pentecostals
Reformed
Eastern orthodox
These sacred directions of conviction have a unified contrast in that they on the whole have unique administrations of the gospel. When compared to the mix of Manichaeism, and Gnosticism the world and its religious views ever so seem to characterize spiritualties as contextual. They reflect theological, philosophical, cultural, and historical biases. Augustine true his theology of Original Sin. From original sin perform the basic dis ordinate found in all homo perk upual concupiscence, the body and its desires, instincts and passions usually perceived of as at war with the soul. Introduced into the mix were Manichaeism and Gnosticism world and religious views later condemned by the church. These views mute life in dualistic terms: the material is evil, the spiritual is good. Life therefore is about the conflict and struggle in the midst of the two.
The reflection and greater emphasis on asceticism and abasement is in spiritual direction.
External ascetical practices would be sex and prayer times fasting and bodily mortification vigils, renouncing consistent joys and pleasure custody of the eyes. A good spiritual handler warns against and even prohibits such extremes but does encourage healthy ascetical practices. A good balance helps people avoid flatulent exaggerations and laxity that sabotages or destroys spiritual foundations. These five spiritual directions all seem to have established a foundation build on scripture and doctrinal truths corresponding to the gospel truths.
